Artist Statement I earned a bachelors degree in fine art from UC Davis in 1992. There I focussed mainly on figurative/ narrative drawings under the tutelage of New York artist Jane Rosen. For my senior show I did a series of multi media sculptures and prints focussing on sexual identity and symbolism.

Inspiration for my creations has always come from personal experience and harvesting the dreamland, as well as a myriad of outside influences from Cartier Bresson to Nan Goldin.

My goal as an artist is to constantly push my work, to grow and evolve. My recent work in photography has grown significantly through flickr. I find the constant influx and variety of imagery there to be invaluable, as well as the encouragement from community groups like Utata.
