Artist Statement Living in beautiful southwestern Colorado inspired me to take up photography. Golden aspens, towering mountains, cattle ranches, abandoned mining towns and more! Falling in love with the beauty of the land here has been easy and photographing it has become my passion. I grew up in the Midwest and as long as I can remember, I’ve been in love with horses and visions of the western landscape. I’ve been fortunate to become friends of some with the ranchers in our area and with that, the opportunity to photograph the spring brandings and fall gathers of the cattle. Although I like a variety of subjects, my passion always returns to cowboys and horses.
