Artist Statement As a young child I loved Picasso and believed that I met him while I was a 1st grader. The man I met however, was not Picasso, but my teachers husband. From early childhood I had a very active imagination and later as a teenager, struggling to express myself, I found great freedom in art. As I continue to grow and change, the way I make art evolves. Now that motherhood and family take center stage in my life, my work is smaller in scale, but just as meaningful to me.

I have been an artist since childhood but I earned my BFA from The Ohio State University. I am currently working as an art therapist in Columbus, Ohio with Directions Counseling Group and the OSU James Cancer Hospital. I enjoy exhibiting my paintings and mixed media works in galleries in the midwest and beyond. My artistic accomplishments include:

D'Art Feature Artist documentary WOSU TV
Workshop Presenter: “Conference Exploration and Creativity Eighth International Conference” Prague, Czech Republic and St. Petersburg, Russia, Grant Award Recipient from The Ohio Arts Council,
Grant Award Recipient from The Visual Arts Foundation,
Solo Exhibits: Chicago at Mars Gallery; Door county Wisconsin and Roy. G. Biv Gallery Columbus, Ohio.
Thank you for looking at my work. May it inspire you.
