Description This is the first Solar Research piece, and was recently published in the first issue of Solar's new magazine as the first panel in 'A Comic History of Thought Part One.' Originally drawn in 1998, and then reinterpreted as a comic in 2007.Inspired by the work of Mark Rothko, Clifford Still, Barnett Newman and the New York School. Also inspired by the Hegelian dialectic, Sumerian mythology, Gilles Deleuze's 'Difference and Repetition' and metaphysical philsosophy.Solar stands for 'Science of Linguistic Aesthetic Research.' This is also called 'Solar Research Piece #1.'
