Description The Fulani are the cattle-rearing normadic inhabitants of northern Nigeria. Their women, The Fulani Women who happen to be the theme of this sculpture piece are subjected by their men to a tortous and rigorous life of hawking fresh milk (that is milked off their cows) accross the lenght and bredth of the country only to return home once in a month or sometimes later. They are known to be often unkept and stinky. Despite their ordeal, one could still see weathered and fading, though still visible traces of natural -normadic- beauty. That this nature-endowed beauty is still able to stand the wears ans tears of their everyday life is the message this work is trying to communicate to those who have experience it but could not fully grasp the import of their situation and those who have not had the opportunity to experience it at all.
