Artist Statement Growing up in Western New York state, living in various other areas and then returning home I have an appreciation for the Great Lakes area, it's post-industrialism, the "rust belt", and the beautiful people and places encompassed here. I have been heavily influenced by the images of my childhood including Catholicism, the water, the city and a variety of socio-economic groups.

I hope to express my humor and appreciation by using juxtapoosition, macro, photomanipulation. I especially love pointillism because that is what the world looked like when I was a little girl and had tears stuck in my eyelashes.
