Artist Statement I was born in Elmhurst NY, and shortly after moved to Queens Village which I stayed until my early adolescent years in which I relocated to Floral Park where i was always amazed by the beauty of everything mainly the floral part more than the actual village of. I was always trying to catch the true essence of life and nature through different mediums from drawing to painting, until I turned 16 when a really good family friend lent me his cannon EOS rebel, for those who don't know, a SLR camera. I learned how to use that camera as fast as possible and studied everything possible on how to have complete control over a SLR to the point I was able to use it in my sleep. Which was when I realized the way for me to truly preserve the essence of something, through the use of photography. I still live in NY, which is the subject of most if not all of my photos, well things in NY at least. All Photos Copyright to Patrick Byrnes
