Artist Statement "One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn't do."

—Henry Ford

I first picked up a camera nine years ago, right after I graduated from high school in Los Angeles and ran away to be an HTML developer in the bay area. Now I'm a UC Berkeley alum (2006) and live in a loft in San Francisco with my husband Scott (also a photographer) and our three cats. My background in web and graphic design certainly helped me develop my eye for photography, though to be honest it has all come quite naturally to me.

Photography is truly my passion in life, and I am an energetic, positive person. I like to think that I'm easy to work with--I enjoy sitting back and watching a scene develop, rather than have a hand in every part of the process.

To me, inspiration comes from the idea that a photo captures a moment in time that can never exist again. How special, to be the one that captures that moment! I tend to specialize in nature/landscape photography, though I have a gift for photographing animals and am fascinated with human portrait and street photography as well. I shoot almost exclusively with natural light.
