Artist Statement We are Shane & Mystic, both Internationally acclaimed photographers, whose work has been widely published and exhibited. We are also two people completely obsessed with their island home of Tasmania. And, how can you not be? A land of ever changing landscapes, wilderness, long, lonely beaches, rainforests, and such a diverse range of photographic subjects as to never tire even the most ardent explorer.

We both currently live on the West Coast of Tasmania, an isolated and sparsely populated region. With the World Heritage Wilderness area on our doorstep, extreme weather, rugged mountain ranges, and lush green valleys our playground.

Our photography is as diverse as the land we call home. Leaving home without the camera,to either of us, is unthinkable. We can never be sure what we may find, or what manner of image will be captured through the lens. Shane is also often found creating strange and wonderful digital manipulations, and where a photograph will travel through his creative and artistic talents is always an adventure and experience.

We both use Pentax DSLR's, currently owning a K20D each, though we also use a wide range of lenses, filters, and other accessories to capture our images.
