Artist Statement An aspiring artist for most of his life, Carl Schmidt has been involved in many different artistic mediums. From music to photography to stained glass, Carl has been involved with the arts since 1989. Carl's interest in photography began about 13 years ago with an entry level Canon SLR. Since then, much has changed about photography and the equipment utilized and Carl has since changed to using a DSLR for creating his photographs. Carl is always a student of photography, forever learning about how to capture that most elusive image.
