Description Vadodara as it is called today, used to be Baroda for me. This illustration focuses on Saadhnaa Cinema that I used to watch movies at (Shh, I never paid. LOL '-). It was downtown in my day, Nyaya Mandir (Justice Center), Kamaati Baug's Bandstand and Love Bridge, lady in Bronze, Sursagar with the statue of Shiva were part of my most memorable vacations (the only ones that I can recall ha ha). An homage to these memories including the projection room, in the audience, dogs (including Tipsy) that hung out on the Agaashi (terrace) and Utraan have been included into this image. Hope you enjoy the same.
Sachin Mehta, San Diego, California Member Since January 2011 Artist Statement Sachin Mehta is a California artist. I started as a child however it was only about 8 years ago that I have seriously explored the creative side. I am self-taught. I enjoy drawing the details of life in a busy illustrative style that has evolved into something quite unique and fun. You can see my Indian influence in some of my work and am working to develop that further. I use various mediums including color pencils, charcoals, pastels, watercolor, acrylics and anything else that is handy. Prints herein have been scanned and digitized from original artwork.
