Artist Statement As, I type this

I remember that I always loved to paint......But first, I taught special education for 5 years , raised 2 outstanding boys that can cook, wash their own clothes, and sew. And yes, they are artists too although they have not figured that out yet. Also they enjoyed cross stitch until they found out it was not cool. By the way my daughter in laws just love me.

Now, I'm back to painting and cannot stop. I love to surround myself with color and play in my studio and see what happens.

Start of my Art Business

I started my business, Country by Carole in 1984. As my business grew the names kept changing. I am now Carole's Studio and I focus on watercolors and hand painted tiles.

Late Bloomer:

I remember that I could never receive a blue ribbon at the county fair for any of my work. My brothers had tropies for all their accomplishments. But alas not I.
Then when I started doing Art Shows I received my first blue ribbon. Yeah! It took me awhile but I did it.

Teaching:

I love to share what I know to teach others. I do hold watercolor Batik workshops for art groups or small groups in My Studio.
