Description Along The Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia stands a series of limestone pillars. When Captain James Cook sailed through here on his circumnavigation of the great brown land, there were an even dozen, so he christened them 'The Twelve Apostles'. A few have since fallen into the sea, but there remains an impressive array along the massively bluffed shoreline. One of earth's great vistas. I took this photograph early in the morning -- the light could not have been more perfect. I've since seen hundreds of photographs taken from this very spot. Few have matched the grandeur of this image.
