Description An interpretation of The Ugly Duckling swimming in a pond amongst ducks. The pond, water, and ducks are abstracted into geometric shapes. The swan is seen as a woman whose body parts express what I identify with the animal. The shape of her hair is taken from the shapes a swan's wings and tail make while at rest. The crooked neck and folded limbs are all taken from the swan's neck movements. The piece is meant to be turned and seen on all it's sides. The patterns take on a new look with each turn.
