Description A part of a three-panel drawing by four-year old, autistic artist. Done with a Sharpie felt-tip, on the back of the 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' book cover while mother was not watching...It is not clear (because the artist has a very limited vocabulary) whether he tried to draw the caterpillar turning into a butterfly, or if it is just another one of his exuberant expressions...

Artist Statement I am four years old, and I have PDD-NOS, a spectrum of autism.

I love to draw with washable Crayola markers and Sharpies. I also do watercolors.

I love to draw on newsprint, backside of copy paper with mistakes on front, and backsides of children's book covers...

My mom says she wanted to draw like me when she was in art school.

She thinks she has a long way to go in reaching the level of mastery I have in drawing. She says I'm the best "naive" or "outsider" artist ever. My drawings remind her of abstract expressionism, surrealism, cubism, etc. I don't know what they are, but she gets really excited about my drawings and puts them up all over the living room.

You will help me and my parents greatly by purchasing one of my artworks.
