Artist Statement Amy Bassin, works in drawing, painting, photography, video, and interactive design. Amy has exhibited her fine art work at The Fine Arts Museum in Long Island, Ars Electronica, The School of Visual Arts and received
an Artists Space/Artist Grant. In March, 2008, her drawings were on the front page of the NY Times: Home and Garden" Section.

Amy, in collaboration with Donna Bassin, were recipients of “The Experimental TV Grant,” and also nominated as finalists for “The Roy Dean NY Films Grant.”

Amy finds inspiration in endeavors that communicate meaningful visual messages, using whatever is the most appropriate medium. She earned her BFA from the School of Visual Arts in NYC and currently lives and works in Long Island City.
