Artist Statement Sketching and drawing always came natural to me my interest in art starting at age 6 being inspired by his father's simple drawings of cowboys , as a selftaught artist i have done numerous renderings in oil ,pencil and charcoal favoring oil paint as a media of choice .
Painting mostly portraits in the early years while sustaining a deep rooted interest in the study of modern and postmodern masterworks this resulted in the eventual development of my own styles of painting , ravelism ,concavism, revealism .
In ravelism the artist has developed a unique artistic language that depicts both familiar and abstract subject matter through a concept that exploits the behavior of string , fabric , stitch etc. the simplicity of technique allows the artist to utilize lavish brush strokes with an appearance of spontaneity that delivers shock, originality and contrast.
