A few years ago I wanted to make a special present to my daughter for her fifth birthday. So I made the Aleph, which is the first letter of her name. She liked it very much, so I decided to continue my work and to make the full hebrew alphabet, based on my own vision of these letters.
My project was to paint a modern version of the Hebrew letters of the Alephbet, using the symbols of letters and their numerical value of gematria. The project took several years to be realized, and each letter has been the subject of careful study and reflection.
The particularity of the Hebrew alphabet compared to other alphabets such as Latin alphabet, hebrew letters have a meaning and can they referred as characters or things. They have a life.
I tried to recreate my vision of each letter in a joyful and playful universe where characters interact with the letters around them.
