Artist Statement The fine art originals were painted with gouache watercolour, a designers’ medium. It bounces light, so photographs well.

The real life pictures have a quality of change which comes with change of light, or an observer’s motion. While tricky to capture such an effect in a single photograph, native variability may be a strength. Images of the same painting taken from subtly altered angles, or using different daylight sources, are on offer.
