Artist Statement As a child, Scott Huette became enamored with photography’s ability to capture the worlds wonders. His grandfather travelled around the world numerous times, bringing back stories, artifacts and an extensive collection of photographic slides from his adventures. Scott’s first camera was the same Pentax SLR that his grandfather used on those travels.

Scott’s formal photography education began at Ohio University where he received his BFA, and studied with the noted photographers, Dan Williams, Eva Enderlein, and Pavel Banka. His art education continued at the University of Oregon where he received his MS from the Arts and Administration program. He continues his involvement with AAD as an Adjunct Faculty member, teaching Art and Human Values. Scott has been an art director and project manager for international corporations in Computer Gaming and Simulation.

His photographs have been exhibited in galleries and alternative spaces on the West Coast and Southwest, including The American Juried Art Salon in Plano, Texas; the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art in Los Angeles, California; and the Downtown Initiative for the Visual Arts in Eugene, Oregon.

Scott is an active member of the arts community in Eugene, Oregon. His service has included, the chair of the Artist Services Committee at the Downtown Initiative for the Visual Arts; a juror for the Outside Art program at Lane Arts Council; and a lecturer on Information Technology in the Arts at the Oregon Arts Congress.
