Artist Statement Thomas W Dillon, Artist

Born in Bay Shore, NY, artist Thomas Dillon lived in the metro New York area and now resides in Northeast Pennsylvania.
At an early age, his mother taught him the basics of painting. He has since studied and continued his creative style and enjoys bringing his ideas to life on canvas and other surfaces.
Thomas’s choice of media mainly includes acrylics, graphite, pen & ink, and watercolors. His paintings vary in size to larger format.
Sketches done with a combination of paint and colored pencils often germinate ideas for larger paintings. Thomas’s chosen subject matter varies from contemporary, surreal, and figurative work and portraits of his children and colleagues have won admiration and praise. His work has been published in books, newspapers and other print and social media, and chosen by for-profit and nonprofit businesses for advertising and awareness campaigns. Thomas’s works hang in several art galleries in the region and has been sought after and purchased many times throughout his artistic career.
Most recently, Thomas’s ideas were chosen to be included on one of the Snowmen of Stroudsburg – large life-size 3-dimensional sculptures placed throughout the downtown area of Stroudsburg, PA, and is currently being admired by the local and surrounding community, and visitors from all over the world and has been featured on the local and regional news stations including PBS and featured in several print publications.
Upcoming exhibitions of current and new works include Origins Gallery at Pocono Arts in March 2019, and in Bethlehem galleries in April and May. Google Thomas Dillon to see more works and for more information.
