Description These are a series of collages that I made from a collection of 'doodles' that I have done over the last 10 years. The drawings were done by hand mostly using ink and fine tip markers. I have recently began cutting out the doodles, making collages and scanning them into my computer. I have also been adding some graphic embellishments such as layering and heightened color.

Artist Statement My education as an artist started with long afternoons sitting at the kitchen table as a child, drawing and coloring. Anytime there is paper and a pen near by, I am creating designs. I have them all over most phone books, bills and note books in my house (and my friends homes too). I started cutting out all the drawings that I did here and there over the past 10 years and saving them. Now I have started to put them together as collages.
I studied art briefly in college but my main profession is as a Hospice Social Worker. Art for me is a healing thing and a form of reflection. The drawings I do are very light, colorful and childlike in many ways... they remind me of hope, fun and life.
