Artist Statement I love the immediacy of watercolor, which has been the main media I've used for the last 10 years. Recently though, I've begun exploring pixel art through spriting dragons. The two media couldn't be more different. Working in such detail has pressed my sketching skills, and caused me to take another look at ways to improve my watercolors as well.

I have little formal training as an artist. I did attend weekly sessions with a local, respected artist until her recent retirement, and watercolor workshops given locally by our county art guild, where we were privileged to enjoy instruction by some nationally and internationally recognized artists.
