Artist Statement Some might say I have been wandering around all my life, daydreaming of things that can not be expressed with just mere words.

I attended film school in a way to find a medium that could contain all the crazy and wonderful ideas I had swimming in my head. Soon I discovered the world of digital art. Living at the other side of the world in a medium sized town in South Africa - digital art was strange new and exciting. I have no dog or cat to keep me pre-occupied so the graphic tablet has become my friend.

Apart from digital art, I love writing and reading science fiction- I am inspired by African and Asian cultures mostly as these resonant with me. I see these people everyday... so it's only natural that I would like to capture some what I see in in The Art of A-Frique.
