David Johnson Member Since March 2011 Artist Statement Opening Statement Hello, my name is David Johnson and I’m an artist currently residing in Atlanta, GA. I’ve previously done commissions for private customers and print on demand companies to place on various products. Now I’m attempting to contact the licensors directly, and hopefully you can assist me with this task. In turn, I hope my work is good enough to bring more patrons to your establishment. I have submitted links to my online portfolios for your consideration to this message. If any of the pieces are to your liking, please feel free to contact me. I generally respond faster via email than phone, but feel free to use whichever method works best for you. Thank you again, and I look forward to hearing from you. Objective/Proposal My immediate goal is to obtain representation from as many licensing companies as possible. Eventually I’d like to have gallery representation, first domestically and then internationally for my fine art pieces. Experience Summary/Statement I started out doing commissions as a kid, pencil illustrations on paper. I did that until I was able to obtain a copy of photoshop and taught myself digital image editing. From there I was able to teach myself how to draft & illustrate digitally, which allowed me to make prints on demand. Eventually I began working digitally nearly 100% for all of my pieces. Biography I’ve been an artist as far back as I can remember and started doing commissions on & off since I was around 13 years old. Years later I taught myself how to illustrate & edit images digitally and began selling original artwork via print on demand. My influences include, but aren’t limited to, professional wrestling, anime, manga, comic books, video games, music and film.
