Artist Statement My first memory of a camera occurred when I was five years old. I dropped — and subsequently broke — my mother's Kodak 110 camera. The roll of film remained intact and the completed photos revealed a shot of my face, registering the terror of what I had just done. The shutter had opened when the camera hit the concrete, perfectly capturing a fleeting moment of confusion and fear frozen on film.

Today, I use a camera to knowingly seek out defining moments and happy accidents. My eyes are constantly searching for humor, beauty and authenticity. I strive to capture vivid color and interesting camera angles. I value the way that photography can provoke distinct emotions or trigger forgotten memories.

Photography allows me to capture the complexities of my world one frame at a time.
