Description This is an apocalyptic-surrealist rendition of the area I live in, the Thompson-Okanagan region of the British Columbia interior. Once a sleepy, rural, and relatively unknown place, it has recently become a major tourist destination, besieged by resort community developers, and wealthy summer home owners. Now that all of the major lake-front properties have been developed, they are attempting to move into the hills, where our smaller reservoir lakes sit. If they have their way, they'll buy up the shores of these reservoir areas and set up resorts there too. As this is a fairly arid region to begin with, I find this development to be very worrying.
