Ohrm Atlantis Member Since July 2017 Artist Statement "Blending ancient symbolism, psychedelic color medicine, and contemporary surrealism, Ohrm explores otherworldly consciousness through multimedia illustration. Ohrm invites viewers to tap into their imagination through a combination of meditative detailing and intentionally imperfect expressive textures and forms. Currently inspired by supernatural experiences and day to day beauty, Ohrm’s earliest influences were comic books and cartoons. Although not formally trained, Ohrm has been making art for approximately the past 27 years. His skills are learned from many different artists, one of whom being Bob Ross, who he watched for many hours as a child. Ohrm’s work has been displayed in every Canadian Province both publically and in private collections. Album art, event posters, t-shirts, tattoos, organic installation, and murals are just a few of the ways one might come across Ohrm’s creations. A diverse and evolving body of work reflects Ohrm’s own personal metamorphosis."
