Description Under the FlagThe draping, it is perfectNo wrinkles will you seeA symbol of a nationA reminder that were freeMost prefer it flyingFree to wave and blowNot sitting on a mantelWithout the stripes to showThis is the end of serviceFor it and one you loveA subtle juxtaposition Of which is up aboveFor each flag sitting foldedFor all the world to seeA soldiers spirit is soaringOer a nation that is free
Robert Longley, North Granby CT Member Since November 2010 Artist Statement I've done a little of everything starting with 8 years in the military. Most of my experience is in software development which has nothing to do with the work you see here. This collection began as poems only about 20 years ago. The combination with photos is a new direction which I hope to complete sometime in the next few years. I currently live in Connecticut with my family.
