Artist Statement My interest in nature and wildlife photography has been present since I was a child. Nearly ten years ago, I took a 10,000 mile journey to several of US national Parks including the Grand Tetons, Redwoods, Zion, and Crater Lake . Upon happening upon "Images of Nature" in Jackson Hole, WY , a Thomas Mangelsen gallery, I was so moved by the images I decided to go about capturing them more arduously. I have been to some schooling for photography but for the last 12 years I have been self taught. My degrees are in Botany and Zoology and I also coordinate renewable energy workshops. I am currently in a Biomimicry Professional certificate Program as well which affords me the opportunity to travel to stunning natural places and to continue my image capture. All this background gives me a deep appreciation for the natural world and a desire to show it to others and conserve it
