Artist Statement I became a digital artist out of necessity as much as interest. I found that with increasing work and parenting responsibilities, traditional time took more space and time than I had. My first digital artworks were done on an old Palm Pilot on my lunch breaks. I moved from that to doing 3D modeling on computers, and when the iPad arrived, I adopted it as my main creation tool.

My images are a kind of abstract surrealism. I create shapes and make choices based on subtle emotional and psychological cues. I view the digital "canvas" as a kind of x-ray, exposing parts of myself; my feelings about my consciousness, my body, my existence.

By day I teach art to children. I have a rewarding life. I hope my art brings meaning and deepened experience to those who see it.
