Description Taken in Forst, Germany on a clear November afternoon. Martin and Gabi led us through the small town where two men with shears were harvesting grapes from vines braided over the main road. One man cheerfully handed down a bunch for us to eat.At the local co-operative winery the last of large bins of grapes were being delivered from surrounding vineyards. When we stopped in the winery director gave us an impromptu tour of every aspect of the process, from washing the grapes to the final bottling. Pride in work well-done rang through his voice the entire time. Walking further down the little road I spotted bright gold from from late afternoon sun hitting fields beyond the houses. On my behalf our hosts asked a local resident if we might walk through their pathway to get a better look and there, as we approached the edge of the vineyard, this is exactly what we found.
