Description This is again in Ballard, Just a drainpipe, but i just loved the way it had been painted to match the wall and the detail on it's fastening that had come undone.Almost as if it is desperately wanting to be something else, something more than what it is. Perhaps it just reminded me of our desire for everything to be ascetically pleasing, even drainage pipes.

Artist Statement I picked up a camera when i was about 18 with no instructions or training and started shooting film. Initially i used photography as a tool for my art (eg. the oils in my Photobook gallery) resulting in some horrible prints in my first year, but gradually become more patient and grew to see it as an art in it's own right.

As people became more aware of my work (which to me was just about capturing memories of personal things that i found beautiful) i began to get work shooting parties, raves, weddings etc. It's really been a labor of love form the outset but increasingly i find my passion for photography giving me voice to express myself and taking me places i never thought I'd get to.
