I’m 40, and am Professional Firefighter by trade, serving as a Captain with a local fire department. I was born and raised in the Reno / Sparks area, love my home and am very happy and proud to now help protect it. I graduated from Sparks High School in 1986, and am close to completing my degree in Fire Science at TMCC.__________
My hobbies include mnt biking, chess, skiing, sailing, softball, playing the guitar, hunting, motorcycles, astronomy, rock climbing, backpacking, and of course photography. I have always loved the arts, photography in particular, but between career, family, and my various other interests I have just recently begun to pursue it seriously. I have no formal training in photography (other than a ton of self study), I just know what I like and what moves me and I shoot it. I, along with my wife Michele have won several awards and competitions, have had several gallery shows (one solo!) and are regular exhibitors at Artown. ______________
Our work may currently be viewed / purchased at Walden's Coffee House (Mayberry & McCarren), Morgan Financial (830 Mill) and Red Rock Studios on Sierra St. _______________
I have often been asked by people viewing my work where I go to find my subject matter, as many people don’t realize how beautiful our area is. I tell them it’s the same stuff that they probably drive by every day, it’s just a matter of noticing it. Which I guess is what I enjoy the most about photography – the opportunity to share with others the beauty that I see around us every day, and to help others to notice, embrace, and hopefully preserve it as well. _____________

First off, being a woman, my age will NOT be included in any bio, as this is classified information. :-) I have a ‘day job’ as well, working as a Technician in the Surgery Department of a local hospital. I was born in California and graduated from Maricopa High School in Maricopa, CA. I have been in Nevada for 9 years now and I am one class away from my AA in General Studies at WNCC. My hobbies include softball, mnt biking, reading, hiking, and photography when I can get the camera away from my husband… ______________
We have 6 children between us, a true Brady bunch, with 3 boys and 3 girls ranging in age from 3 months to 20. We love the Reno area and all of the diverse things that it has to offer. We have had 5 wonderful years together and look forward to many more happy years in the Reno area, continuing to shoot and share the beauty around us.
