Artist Statement I've been a biologist for 20+ years and a photographer for 30+. I have always seen art in natural textures and organic lines and spent many years learning to capture the beauty I saw in the world on film. I've also loved computer art since I was first exposed to simple ASCII patterns on an Apple II in the 80's. Moving on to complex fractal art and ray traced 3D imaging as the technology evolved was natural for me. The advent of affordable digital photography brought my two passions together and opened up vast new horizons for me in expressing myself through the amazing combination of nature and technology. I still love to capture nature as it exists, but I also admit to being somewhat of a photoshop junkie! Digital art just keeps getting more fascinating.
