Description The image is a concept painting, I made, of a typical African woman living in a village on a summer mid-afternoon and weaving the head of an infant, this action happens very regularly and on one of the occasions where I witnessed it, is what I painted on a canvass of 37 X 27. The image was photographed, by me, using a multi-dimension camera.
Henry Usidame, Baltimore Member Since December 2010 Artist Statement I am a male teacher living in America, I am 39 years old and I am married with children and I like painting and have a huge flare for colored pencil art. I have been making art for twenty years and my exhibition is due soon. I am a fine artist and I get my inspiration from my environment and from my travels through the length and breadth of Africa. I seek to present the many faces of African art to the world. A large part of the money from the sales is sent to Africa to various aid agencies responsible for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
