Artist Statement Emily Morgan is an artist and oil painter from a small town in the South West of England. She studied art at Swansea Metropolitan University in the 1990s. She has been advising people on art techniques and materials for over five years, in Frank Herring and Sons where she works part-time. She has contributed to local exhibitions, recently taking part in an open studio arts trail, the Southville Arts Weekend in Bristol.

She has enjoyed oil painting since high school, when a good art teacher and well known Dorset painter Mike Bowman introduced her to it. She likes the versatility of the medium and its ability to capture light and movement through well placed brushmarks of colour.

She paints landscapes of her home county and further afield.
