Description I have always loved top hats and when I purchased a 'collapsible opera style top hat' in an antique shop I had to have it. It isn't in great shape, but the frayed edges and rips gives it character and inspires me in my art.Why, you ask a drawing of an animal wearing a top hat? Why not? During the Victorian era the top hat was associated with Victorian stuffiness and formality. Today, in pop culture the top hat is seen as more comical. My animal art is determined by whim rather than reason. As an artist, what fun to create the unexpected!The original drawing was hand-drawn using black permanent marker and colored in using a blending technique with prismacolor colored pencils.
