Artist Statement Camil George Fayad was born and raised in Lattakia, Syria.
He attended the Damascus University of Fine Arts and graduated in 1979 with a Master on Visual Communication. Some years after his graduation, he redirected his artistic preferences towards Fine Arts thus starting to practice his skills and knowledge on the canvas. In few years he started to become well known in his hometown but also in Damascus as well for his oil paintings on canvas and wood of Orientalisme and Rococo styles.
He has taken part in more than 20 grouped exhibitions in many galleries of Syria as well as in the Annual Exhibition of The Syrian Fine Artists Syndicate until 1997. His works can be found in many countries due to his European and foreign clients. By this time, Camil G. Fayad has worked and specialized in classic oil panting, wall-painting, glass and ceramic painting with Orientalisme, Impressionisme, Rococo and modern, more abstract styles.
He now lives in the small coast city of Larnaca, Cyprus.
