Artist Statement When I was younger, I started drawings portraits of my family and making valentines cards in my teacher's classroom. It was just assignments at the time but then I would come home to do some more drawings on my own after my homework. I would use our home printing papers to practice drawing the Loony Tunes and Dragonball Z characters because those are my favorites. And even though my drawings were not perfect like how you would see them on the shows I still continued drawing because it is relaxing and fun for me at the same time. In 2011, I became 10 years old and my brother started sharing his computer with me because he said that I have a talent and he doesn't mind me keeping my drawings on the computer. It was also when I started doing different kinds of drawings that were about how I felt or how I saw something around me. I draw at least once everyday now and they have added up. My brother says I draw different from anyone else he knows and he thinks I should share them online because it lets people see things from my eyes. My alias is Sontey which comes from the last three letters of my own first and last name because I feel art is about sharing pieces of yourself. I hope people will like the drawings I post.
