Being over 67 years old, I consider that being mature, from an early beginning I have been drawing and painting since I was 8 years old. I do both original art on paper and canvas along with digital art, in any media.
I am now working on a civil war project and a series on the Florida Seminole Indians with a retro art style of the 60's and 70's. I will be doing digital, ink and canvas for these projects.
I just finished up my digital war art project from WW1 to the present Afghanistan conflict. It was a two year project that ended with an official presentation at the Lutz, Florida, State of Florida Veterans home. This project was donated to the state in honor of our veterans, with six pieces of digital watercolor art being placed in the six statewide locations for all to view. This was one of my greatest achievements that was in honor of our war veterans that I am among. Also, I could not have done this project, if it had not been for the help that the Veterans Administration and staff from the St. Petersburg, Florida regional office.
I have also did a great deal of photo work during my life and have now just decided to work on digital sculptures with ZBrush and should have some amazing results.
I am currently working on a children’s book (writing and illustrating); hope to have it published in the next few years. I try to be active at my age as much as possible and hope to do as much as I can.
As I have lived art, one can see how nothing in time really changes only gets better in that I can review art from the masters and review art today contains the basics.
After the basics then one can see the expansion of imagination. Finally one can also, see the use of technology which makes a great impression during this time that we live in on the art that is created.
