Artist Statement Prince RastaMixteco born in Mexico City in the summer of 1977, the son of a Mixtec from Oaxaca and an Afro-Mexican of Jamaican origin. Self-taught painter since the age of 17, strongly influenced by the art of tattooing, graffiti and later by painters such as Pollock, De Kooning, Rothko and Georges Mathieu. In 2007 he founded a clothing brand in the City of Guadalajara. In 2014, he returned to Oaxaca and began to paint constantly to this day.
