Artist Statement Hello and welcome to Mach One Photography, featuring the work of Matt Savage.

Matt is a photographer with a passion for all things aviation. With a penchant for antique and ex-military aircraft, he has the ability to render his subject in a classic, timeless way. He likes to think “outside the box” in order to get the desired results. As a licenced pilot he is ideally suited to the demands of aviation photography and brings a safety-conscious approach to the craft.

Photography has been a part of his life for over 25 years. He started shooting and processing his own B&W 35mm film in the late 1980's, and has since moved into the Digital Age. His work has been published in several magazines and industry journals in addition to winning awards. His clients include the Australian Defence Force, Wings Magazine, Australian Aviation, Australian Warbirds, & the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia, among others. He is also a member of the International Society For Aviation Photography.

He currently resides in south-eastern Melbourne.
