Artist Statement Well, as you can probably tell by now, I love to draw, XD I'm currently trying to earn money to get my own business built up, once I get out of high school of course, and I want to see what styles the community likes and dislikes, and hopefully this will be a chance to test my skills, ^^
Currently, I am practicing full-body sketches, different styles with head/shoulder shots, I mainly do those. I am thinking about working on landscapes next, see if maybe that may be another strong point in my art. My weak spots are full body sketches, male and female anatomy, hands, bare feet, I have some difficulty with noses, and also with different head angles, I can do a 45-degree angle almost perfectly, but front-view and side-views are a pain. I lost my edge on side-view portraits when I got into tenth grade. Realistic portraits are also a pain, I can't draw from a photograph or a live subject to save my life, so if anyone reads this and knows any good tips besides practicing, or can give me good references on any of these, please feel free to do so, I would greatly appreciate the help. ^^
My art styles vary from sketching to poetry and prose, I have been drawing since I was 3 or 4, and I've practiced ever since. I got really into poetry when I was in middle school, the middle of sixth grade, and prose came naturally to me. When I developed my first character (and also my muse) in 8th grade, I decided I wanted to write stories as well, and am currently trying to get a novel under my belt aside from drawing. Though that's not going very well either, but that's okay, because I can always fall back on another art form to regain my composure and inspire me to write again.
