Mike Fox, San Francisco Member Since May 2008 Artist Statement With more than twenty years of photography experience, San Francisco-based photojournalist Mike Fox has been published in many leading magazines, newspapers and web sites including Newsweek, Business Week, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Die Weld, Le Monde, the Time of London, AOL, MSNBC and CNN. Mike’s corporate photojournalism work has secured Fortune 100 clients including SAP, IBM, Business Objects, Veritas, PepsiCo, Motorola, Learning Annex.
Mike has international assignment experience in South Africa, the Middle East, Haiti, South East Asia, and throughout Europe.
The Academy of Art University in San Francisco teaches courses on photojournalism as a part of its BFA and MFA programs and Mike has been invited to join the faculty as of Fall 2008. A former member of the board of directors for Fotovision.org. Mike has also been a guest speaker on the subject of photojournalism at the Apple Store in San Francisco, and at ASMP events.
Mike is developing a new initiative named the One Life Foundation which aims to revitalize interest and reengage audiences in on-going catastrophic events such as famine, disease, poverty and homelessness.
