I have always wanted to be an artist. Naively, I actually thought I was, even as a youngster with my colored pencils and crayons!
My first introduction to OIls was a gift of a Paint By Numbers set. With that, I thought I had really arrived at the age of 7 or 8. Then, moving on to all the wonderfull Walter Foster, " How to Paint...." books of the time, which gave step by step illustrations on how to paint just about everything!
I thought I had arrived, after all, my friends and family praised my work!

Little did I realize then how difficult it would be in in years to come to learn what I needed to learn in order to accomplish my goals! How much hard work would be necessary to assist my small talent in order to become successful, and to truly understand the comlexities of seeing.
I truly believe that the best art is the result of seeing and portraying what can't be seen,

After College, with my undergraduate degree, I began to see some small successes with shows of my work, but the learning is ongoing, as is the love afair with my chosen profession!

Its been said, "If one works at what they love, they will never work a day in their life!"
