Description BODIE GHOST TOWN SCHOOLHOUSE by Lynn Bauer - This schoolhouse once stood in the center of a thriving mining town in California called Bodie. Today, Bodie is the largest preserved ghost town in the country. It is a state historic park, which draws many visitors each year to observe how life was in the 'olden days.' This schoolhouse once housed many children, and still stands as a testament to the history of this beautiful old town. I love that you can see the tattered curtains still hanging in the windows. A glimpse through those windows, and you get another look at life many years ago!
