My childhood was spent in the very small town of Fredonia, Kansas. In may ways it was the idyllic 1950s life. My friends and I had the freedom to roam and large blocks of time to develop our talents. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Art History and American Studies. I moved to New Mexico with my husband. During our first three years in Albuquerque, I developed a love of the desert Southwest. We then moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for three years, where I discovered handweaving.
