My childhood was spent in the very small town of Fredonia, Kansas. In may ways it was the idyllic 1950s life. My friends and I had the freedom to roam and large blocks of time to develop our talents. After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Art History and American Studies. I moved to New Mexico with my husband. During our first three years in Albuquerque, I developed a love of the desert Southwest. We then moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina for three years, where I discovered handweaving. Weaving and the textile arts which have become a life long passion of mine. We lived in El Paso, Texas for 8 years before moving back to Albuquerque for 18 years. While we were in El Paso, I ran a weaving studio out of my home. The Contemporary Craftsman Gallery in Santa Fe, and Clay and Fiber Gallery in Taos were the main outlets for my weaving. I had long been interested in computers and digital art; but three years ago, I developed severe asthma and allergies. This necessitated my move into digital art full time. Today, I am splitting my time between Santa Fe and Chapel Hill and studying fractals. Fractals have become the main thrust of my work.
