I also like to find quirky images where nature imitates art or where different layers of meaning can be found. I am a digital artist/photographer/and painter in oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolor. I have always done something creative and am largely self taught.

When being a photographer I often find myself inspired by nature, particularly water and coastal landscape, urban architecture and trees. I also like to find quirky images where nature imitates art or where different layers of meaning can be found. This often leads to creating abstract compositions, or ones that have a surreal element to them. I also sometimes just spend a day in a place gathering as many textures and patterns as I can find and creating a texture map recording the subtle beauty in the everyday we often pass by

When painting I am just as happy working digitally or in real paint or a combination of the two. Too me its all art and just a case of using the different tools and media to their best effect. Pictures can come quickly or take many iterations and be worked on for months before they mature into a finished work. I love to find colors that sing and patterns, form and texture that jumps of the page at you. Sometimes that’s enough and at other times I also want it to be charged with emotion and energy.
