I got into shooting when my father was preparing to sell a Canon AE-1 SLR and a set of lenses. I found I had an attachment to them, as he'd carried them around all my life, and I asked him to show me the basics and give me a six-month trial; if I liked photography, I'd buy them from him. Long before the six months were up, I'd found a new passion and he'd found a permanent home for his gear.

I'm particularly drawn to urban landscapes, as well as close-ups of ephemera found within. Angles, lines and rows of things also hold a particular fascination, and I reslish my role as the staff p...
